The Allen-Bradley 2098-IPD-010-DN is an Ultra 5000 Intelligent, Single Positioning Drive with embedded DeviceNet interface. This drive, along the entire Ultra 5000 product catalog are discontinued product range. It is designed to meet control system and industry requirement’s for accurate actuator positioning and motion control. Most applications of this drive can be found in the manufacturing industry.

The 2098-IPD-010-DN features continuous output power of .25 kW at 115VAC and 0.5 kW at 230VAC with Continuous Output Current 2.5AA and Output peak Current of 7.5 A. To operate the drive, a power supply input of 100-240VAC rms, 1-Phase, with frequency of 47-63 Hz is required. It has an Energy Absorption Capability rating of 125 Joules at 115VAC input and 51 Joules at 230VAC input.

The integrated DeviceNet interface of the 2098-IPD-010-DN permits the drive to share data over compatible partner devices over the DeviceNet network. This communication interface supports communication data rates of 125 kps, 250 kps, and 500 kps and 63 DeviceNet nodes. This DeviceNet interface has a Power Consumption from Network of 60 mA. Aside from the DeviceNet interface, this drive is also built with embedded Two (2) RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial communication ports. It has a variety of communication speed selections including 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, and 38400 baud.

The 2098-IPD-010-DN drive has a continuous power output of 1 kW. It weighs 4.55 pounds with dimensions of 5.50 x 5.69 x 8.08 inches. It has 16 optically isolated inputs, 7 optically isolated outputs, and 1 normally open relay output. This unit has Explicit and polled I/O messaging capabilities and can establish up to five Group 3 Explicit Messaging connections using Unconnected Message Manager (UCMM).
