The 2098-IPD-HV100-DN Ultra5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive is an integrated motion controller drive and digital servo drive that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It operates with 460 Volts AC of input voltage, 47 to 63 Hertz input frequency, 14 Amps of input current, and 10 kilowatts of continuous power output at 460 Volts AC input voltage. It also has two independent RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial communication ports. It has automatic motor recognition capabilities that eliminate the need for configuring all of the motor parameters. The 2098-IPD-HV100-DN Digital Servo Drive has two acceleration types which are the linear and S-curve acceleation types.

The 2098-IPD-HV100-DN Ultra5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive has 16 optically isolated general-purpose digital inputs and 7 digital outputs with 12 to 24 Volts. It consists of two 12-bit analog to digital converters and two 12-bit digital to analog converters with 4 general-purpose analog inputs and outputs. Its onboard digital and analog I/O, integrated drive, and controller eliminate unecessary system components and connections as well as costs. It comes with an optional DeviceNet communication interface for supervisory control. Its motion parameters are created in ANSI C for efficient and fast code execution. The 2098-IPD-HV100-DN Intelligent Positioning Drive supports incremental, multi-turn, high resolution, and absolute feedback with its Stegmann Hiperface and sine/cosine encoders. This drive can be used in applications that require single-axis intelligent motion control such as packaging, converting, metal forming, and food processing applications.
