This High Voltage Ultra5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive by Allen Bradley (2098-IPD-HV220-DN), has a DeviceNet communication interface. This 2098-IPD-HV220-DN module can be completely programmed by the user; its strong IPM based power section and modern DSP based architecture make this servo drive high-performance. With motion commands programmed in an ANSI C format, this module’s optimized design gives it high-speed position capturing with a latency less than 1.0μs.

22 kW at 480 Volts AC is this drive’s continuous power output; at 31.77 pounds in weight and dimensions of 9.00 x 15.43 x 14.28 in, it has a single normally open relay output along with seven (7) optically isolated outputs and sixteen (16) optically isolated inputs. It requires 230 to 480 Volts RMS of 3-phase AC input voltage, and AC input frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz, and a nominal AC input current of 28 A.

Its continuous Output current is 33.2 A for RMS value and 47 A for 0-peak value, while its Peak output current is around 66.5 A for RMS and 94 A for 0-peak. It has 1880µF Bus capacitance, a 20Ω internal shunt resistance, and an 810 Volt DC Bus overvoltage. This module’s memory is made up of 23 Kb non-volatile SRAM for storage and 512 Kb flash memory; its power dissipation with a dissipative shunt is 600 Watts. The 2098-IPD-HV220-DN drive also has Explicit and polled I/O messaging capabilities with DeviceNet communication. Up to five Group 3 Explicit messaging connections can be established by using UCMM (Unconnected Message Manager). Its data rates are 125, 250, and 500 kbps, with a 0 to 63 range of node addresses, and can change faulted node addresses of a device using its faulted-node recovery feature.
