The Allen-Bradley 9101-1898 Servo Drive belongs to the Ultra3000 series of integrated motion controllers. This digital servo drive meets global voltage requirements and it can perform in a variety of machine-controlling situations. This drive’s voltage ranges from 110-240V AC (single-phase) at 47-63 Hz and a nominal input current of 28A RMS. It is integrated with a ControlLogix Platform for integrated motion. The servo drive measures 14.2 x 9.6 x 3.6 inches. The 9101-1898 monitors the thermostat signal from a motor and it will give a fault indication if the motor overheats. The 9101-1898 servo drive has 1 serial port that implements the standard NRZ asynchronous serial format. The 9101-1898 is designed for a circuit that can deliver a maximum of 2,00,000 RMS at a maximum voltage of 240V AC. The ambient temperature of the location in which you install the system must not exceed 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The 9101-1898’s connector pinout dedicates separate pins for the RS-232 and the RS-485 signals so that the communication standard can be changed just by using another cable. If you are using an autotransformer, make sure that the phase to neutral voltages does not exceed the 9101-1898’s input voltage ratings. When you are routing the power and signal wiring on this system, radiated noise from relays, transformers, and other electronic devices can be induced into the encoder communication signal or into other sensitive low-voltage signals, and this can cause system faults and communication problems.
