The 9101-1918 (2098-DSD-005-DN) Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive Series B with DeviceNet by Allen-Bradley is a 500 Watt 1-Phase drive which is employed in most industrial motion applications. The drive has an input voltage ranging between 100-240V ACRMS at 47-63 Hertz with a 5A nominal input current and a surge current of 100A. Additionally, it has a 7.5A intermittent current with a 1410μF BUS capacitance and provides 400V DC BUS over-voltage protection. It has 500 Watts output power and a 38 Joules Energy Absorption Capacity at 230V AC. It lacks Auxiliary AC input but supports an auxiliary 5V logic supply and is protected by Class J and Class CC 230V AC Bussman fuse. It controls the motor current through the digital Proportion Integral (PI) control with an update rate of 125μs, and it employs the digital PID feedback mechanism for regulation of velocity. It has eight 12-24V DC optically-isolated digital inputs and four 12-24V DC optically-isolated outputs with one Normally-Open 30V DC 1A max relay output. It has a ±10V DC analog output with 8 bits resolution and 2mA max current and 2 analog inputs (COMAND and ILIMIT) and it has a maximum I/O response time of 100μsec. The drive has an RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial port for connection to peripheral devices using the CN3 Serial Port Connector and it supports an additional DeviceNet network capability with Explicit, Polled I/O, Cyclic Messaging, and Change of State messaging capability, and a selectable transmission 125, 250, and 500 kbps, and auto-baud through 0-63 node addresses. It has a functional temperature range between 0 and 55° C (32 and 131° F) at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity and it can maintain function even with an operational shock of 30G and a vibration of 2.5G. The drive weighs approximately 1.8kg (4.1lbs) and measures 98.1mm x 32.77mm x 65.02mm.
