The 9101-1927 Servo Drive by Allen-Bradley belongs to the Ultra3000 series. It comes with a mechanism for restoring serial communications when a serial interface or communications between devices cannot be established. The 9101-1927 weighs 20.6lbs with an operating temperature range of 32-122 degrees Fahrenheit. Its dimensions are 14.2 x 9.7 x 5.4 inches. The voltage range is 230-480V AC 3-phase RMS, and its nominal input current 30V AC RMS. The 9101-1927 is integrated with the ControlLogix Platform for integrated motion. The maximum power losses in the 9101-1927 drive are a 300+ dissipative shunt loss and typical heat losses that measure approximately half the value of the maximum power loss. This drive is limited to one contactor cycle every two minutes and the power initialization requires a short period of inrush current. Any break in the 9101-1927 drive disables the SERCOS network and prompts a warning flash from the SERCOS status LED. The RS-232 and RS-485 ports support communication and interface between the drive and other devices. The 9101-1927’s ideal system performance depends on clean port optics and cable ferrules which keep the dust and small particles from blocking the optical current paths and makes the network to work properly for communication standard. When a fault is detected, the seven-segment LED will display an “E” then flash the 2-digit error code 1 digit at a time. To avoid equipment damage, do not directly break the motor current because this can result in very high voltage due to motor inductance or start a fire in extreme cases.
