The 9111-0063 (2098-IPD-010) Ultra 5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive by Allen-Bradley is an intelligent drive used for controlling and positioning industrial servo motors. It has an AC single-phase input rating of 100-240V AC and 9A (nom) with a 100A surge. The 9111-0063 supplies an output current of 15A with an output power of 1KW and it has an overall absorption capability of 51 Joules at 230V AC. The drive has a 32-bit floating point digital signal processor with a 60 MHz clock speed and uses a 3-phase sinusoidal commutation with a space vector modulation control (SVM). Current loop regulation is performed through the SVM with a 125µsec update rate and control of the velocity loop and positioning loop is maintained through the digital PI with 250µs and 500µs update rates. Programming is achieved using the compiled ANSI C programming language using the full-featured color syntax editor with Ultraware, and programs are stored in the 512 KB user program memory with 100,000 write cycles. The 9111-0063 has 16 optically-isolated digital inputs with 7 optically-isolated digital outputs, and one Normally-Open (N.O.) 30V DC, 1A relay output. It also has two 12-bit A/D, single-ended +/- 10V analog inputs and two 12bit D/A +/- 10V, +/- 2mA single-ended analog outputs. The drive communicates using the double RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 with 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, and 38400 bits/s selectable baud rates. The 9111-0063 provides motor feedback via 4 specialized encoders with selectable 100 KHz and 2.5 MHz input frequencies. It has a maximum power dissipation of 48W and an operational temperature range of 0-55 0C (32-131 0F) at 5-95% non-condensing humidity condition. It has a tested 15G operational shock withstand and it will still retain function at an installation height of up to 1500m. The 9111-0063 is UL-certified and has a dimension of 193.55mm x 139.7mm x 114.3mm with an approximate weight of 2.07Kg (3.9lb).
