Allen Bradley Kinetix 6000M

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000M system is an integrated drive-motor system. This system can be used in industrial motion control applications. The Kinetix 6000M system contains a variety of components, including integrated drive-motor (IDM) units, power interface modules for the IDM units, hybrid cables, network cables, power rails, axis modules, integrated axis modules, and shunt modules. These systems can also support slot filler modules that cover empty slots and interface cables that support specific communication interfaces. The Kinetix 6000M IDM units combine servo drives with motors. The IDM units also include safe-off features. The Kinetix 6000M power interface modules are installed on power rails and provide power and communications capabilities to the IDM units. The power interface modules also provide overload protection and monitor the power output for the IDM units. The Kinetix 6000M hybrid cables provide power connections and support daisy-chain inter-module communication between IDM units. The Kinetix 6000M network cables are required to build the daisy-chain network for the Kinetix 6000M system. Integrated axis modules are modules with inverter and converter sections, axis modules are modules with shared DC bus inverters, and shunt modules provide additional shunt power in regenerative system applications. Axis modules in Kinetix 6000M systems must be used with integrated axis modules. The power rail is the mounting base for several system components and it provides power signals and control signals from the system's converter section to adjacent inverters.

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000M system can support IDM units with built-in brakes, and these brakes have voltage ratings of 24V DC nominal, 21.6V DC minimum, and 27.6V DC maximum. This system can also support a brake current rating of 650 mA maximum. Some of the Kinetix 6000M IDM units have digital encoders that provide high-resolution feedback. These encoders support absolute position feedback within approximately 4096 turns and 524,288 counts per revolution. The Kinetix 6000M IDM units support velocity loops and current loops with their bandwidth, and different IDM units have different velocity loop and current loop ratings. Different Kinetix 6000M IDM units support different rated speeds, including rated speeds of 5000 RPM, 3500 RPM, and 3000 RPM. The Kinetix 6000M power interface modules have operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and storage temperature ranges from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius.
