The MPL-A320P-SJ74AA servo motor is a low-inertia servo motor that has been made by Allen-Bradley in its MP series of servo motors. This servo motor has been designed to comply with various industrial requirements and to provide a compact design that can help save space, inventory costs, and energy at the same time.  This servo motor consists of a brushless servo motor and a mechanism that enables it to detect and emit a report with the current motor position. The Allen-Bradley MPL-A320P-SJ74AA low-inertia servo motor operates with a rated voltage of 200 Volts AC and a speed of 5000 rpm. This motor has a frame size of 100 millimeters and a magnet stack of 2 inches. It is important to note that these are the maximum ratings that the drive can operate at. If these are ratings are exceeded, the drive and its structure will suffer damages that may be permanent.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-A320P-SJ74AA low-inertia servo motor comes with a single-turn high-resolution encoder that enables the motor to detect a machine’s position within a single turn. The Allen-Bradley MPL-A320P-SJ74AA low-inertia servo motor comes with a shaft key included, although it does not include a shaft seal. The protection level of the drive combined with its housing is an IP 50 rating. This enclosure provides protection against solid debris. If there is a chance of the servo motor coming into contact with liquids, it is recommended to install a shaft seal and to add an external shield to the whole motor to make it waterproof. The users need to make periodic revisions to the shaft key and shaft seals in order to determine whether these need to be replaced or not. Also, when installing the key and the seals, these must be properly lubricated.
