The Allen-Bradley MPL-A420P-MJ22AA servo motor is a brushless servo motor with a multi-turn high-resolution encoder for absolute feedback. This rotary servo motor operates with a 230 Volts AC power supply, but its performance depends on both the frequency and voltage levels acquired at input terminals. The MPL-A420P-MJ22AA servo motor has a nominal and maximum rotating speed of 5000 rpm. To be able to safely connect to the servo drive and the power supply, this motor is equipped with the SpeedTEC, right-angled, 180-degree rotatable connectors. There are many examples of the MPL-A420P-MJ22AA servo motor is often used in low-inertia applications, but it is most commonly applied in factories to accurately move machine parts or products. Although this AC servo motor makes the rotational movement as the output power, this kind of movement can be easily converted into linear motion over a ball screw mechanism. In this way, the possibilities for this AC servo motor applications increases.
The Allen-Bradley MPL-A420P-MJ22AA MPL-series servo motor comes with 115-millimeter frame size, circular bayonet connectors, and a magnetic stack length of 2 inches, but it has no brake. Like all Allen-Bradley servo motors, the MPL-A420P-MJ22AA servo motor can precisely control the speed of a machine only if its feedback signal is sent to an Allen-Bradley ULTRA series servo motor or an Allen-Bradley Kinetix series servo motor. This servo motor has rated output power of 2.0 kilowatts, continuous stall torque of 42 pounds on an inch, and a weight of 4.3 kilograms (9.4 pounds). One of the advanced features of this drive is the ability to maintain a motor identity on the network with its built-in memory.
