This Rockwell Automation 5000 revolutions per minute MP low inertia synchronous servo is a 230V AC class motor. This brushless servo motor comes with a multi-turn (high-resolution) encoder on the servo motor and a shaft key installed. Also, this premium servo has circular DIN (right angle) cable connections which are pre-installed on this brushless servo motor. Furthermore, this drive has a 24 VDC brake installed in the servo if braking is needed.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-B430P-MJ74AA is a servo motor belonging to the MP-Series (premium permanent magnet) of low-inertia, high-output brushless servo motors. Its reduced motor size and significantly higher torque have been achieved through the use of innovative design techniques. These compact and dynamic brushless servo motors are made to meet the needs of high-performance motion systems. The MP series is typically used with the Allen-Bradley Kinetix® 6000, 6200, 6500, 300, and 350 servo drive series.

The MPL-B430P-MJ74AA servo motor belongs to the 400 V voltage class with a frame size of 115 mm (4.53 in.) and a stack length of 76.2 mm (3.0 in.). The motor is rated at 5000 RPM and 2.2 kW. It supports multi-turn high-resolution encoder for feedback which enables as many as 2 million counts per revolution for accurate control. It also includes a keyed shaft extension (no shaft seal), a circular DIN connector (right angle, 180 degrees rotatable), and 24V DC brake.

The operating temperature range is from 0-40 oC (32-104 oF).

Compared to conventional servo motors, the MPL-B430P-MJ74AA has up to 40% higher torque per unit size thanks to its advanced winding technology. It has higher performance than other servo motors because of its improved winding insulation material which leads to enhanced thermal management and heat transfer. Faster acceleration has been achieved by using high-energy rare-earth magnets. Its new SpeedTEC DIN connectors allow for flexible orientation of the connectors.
