|

The Allen-Bradley MPM-B1651C-2J72AA servo motor is an MPM series medium-inertia servo motor from the 400 Volts voltage class. It only comes with 1 built-in magnet stack, but it supports a base speed rating of 1500 RPM. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA medium-inertia servo motor features a resolver for feedback instead of an encoder. Its ambient operating temperature range is from 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and its ambient storage temperature is from -22 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit at 5 to 95% relative humidity without condensation. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA medium-inertia servo motor comes with an IEC metric flange for mounting.

The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA is a rotary servo motor from Allen-Bradley. The motor belongs to the MPM series of medium inertia motor from Rockwell Automation and it has a 165-millimeter frame size and Type FF free mounting holes. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA has no brakes but does contain Speed Tec DIN connectors, which accommodate 180-degree rotations to give make the cabling process more flexible. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA is powered through an AC power supply in the 400 Volts class. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA has a single magnetic stack and a 1500 revolutions per minute base speed. The medium inertia rotary servo motor has a four-pole resolver plus a keyed shaft extension. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA is configured at the factory during manufacturing and it follows the International Electrotechnical Commission’ guidelines for mounting. Also, the medium inertia motor is rated to be installed in enclosures which meet the IP65 or 67 guidelines. The MPM-B1651C-2J72AA must be operated at a relative humidity not below 5% and not exceeding 95% without condensation. For the proper functioning of the MPM-B1651C-2J72AA medium inertia motor, the operating shock should exceed 30G and the vibration should not be above 20G at a maximum frequency of 2000 Hertz.

To prevent injury to personnel, power should not be applied to the MPM-B1651C-2J72AA when disconnected cables, loose shaft keys, and other disconnected mechanical equipment are still near the motor shaft. Also, when cabling, prevent unnecessary strain on the cables and on the cable connections. Although the DIN connector is rotatable, it should only be rotated to the required direction once during installation. It should then remain in this position. The continuous rotation of the DIN connectors may damage the connector seal making the IP (International Protection) void.
