Allen Bradley MPS Servo Motors

The Kinetix MP Series of stainless steel servo motors known as the MPS Servo Motors offers a wide selection of brushless synchronous servo motors that are precisely designed to operate in sanitary applications such as brewing, cosmetics, high-pressure washing, and pharmaceutical applications. These low-inertia servo motors are housed in passivated, 304-grade stainless steel enclosures that are available in 3 frame sizes (100, 130, and 165 millimeters) for 230 Volts and 460 Volts rated applications. Their shafts are constructed from 303-grade stainless steel and each unit comes with a 300-series stainless steel shaft key for securing the couplings to the shaft. The MPS Servo Motors have a 3000 or 5000-revolutions per minute maximum speed rating and their output varies from 1.3 to 3.5 kilowatts. They offer absolute position feedback through single and multi-turn high-resolution encoders that are available for the servo motors in the series.

Like many MP Series motors, the MPS Servo Motors also have 24 Volts holding brakes with separate power supplies. Each motor offers 2 levels of protection to keep moisture and particles out of the bearings. The first is a plastic slinger to reduce the impact of high-pressure liquids and the second is a polytetrafluoroethylene shaft seal. Each MPS Servo Motor features an extended cable with a nickel-plated, zinc cast DIN connector. Their support for multiple mounting positions offers flexible cable routing solutions to achieve better electromagnetic compatibility. The environmental ratings offered by the enclosures for this motor family are the IP 66, IP 67, and the IP 69K rated enclosures. Positive air-pressure kits and many other add-ons are available for MPS Servo Motors in different applications.
