The 1481-N58 pushbutton is a spare part pushbutton for NEMA rated contactors and starters that are manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The product is offered through the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 500 product line that provides a wide range of products for industrial systems. The Bulletin 500 contactor and starter units are made from high-quality materials and they are available in NEMA sizes from 0 to 9. These units can be mounted in either vertical or horizontal positions and they are built for an ambient temperature range of -25 to 65 degrees Celsius (-13 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit). The maximum altitude (without derating) for ideal operation is 3048 meters or 10,000 feet above sea level. The enclosures of the Bulletin 500 product line devices are made from rough plastic materials or corrosion-resistant metals.

The 1481-N58 pushbutton is used for stopping and starting the Bulletin 500 devices and it comes as a full kit with cables and mounting parts. It should be noted that the kit includes two separate buttons, one for starting devices and the other for stopping them. The 1481-N58 pushbutton kit is designed for contactors and starters which have a NEMA designated size of 3 to 5. Specifically, the 1481-N58 pushbutton can be used with either combination or non-combination starters or contactor units. The Bulletin 500 starter and /contactors are produced in many variants and they offer continuous current ratings from 9 to 2250 Amps, along with several different line voltage ratings. The buttons are placed in a high-quality frame that is built according to industrial standards and that is designed in colors that are typical for start-stop functions. This means that the start button is green and the stop button is red.
