The Allen-Bradley 1440-TPS02-01RB module is a position and process measurement module. The design of the 1440-TPS02-01RB module allows it to measure common turbine supervisory position measurements, which include the axial position (thrust), case expansion, differential expansion, and the valve position. The 1440-TPS02-01RB measurement module performs a self-test when it is powered on. This self-test comprises a status indicator test as well as a device test. For the status indicator test, the indicators can either be turned on independently, or in an order for around 0.25 seconds. The 1440-TPS02-01RB module's test can take place after the status indicator test. The MS (Module Status) indicator shows the status of the device's self-test.

When the indicator light is flashing green and red, it shows that the 1440-TPS02-01RB module self-test is in progress. A flashing or solid green light shows that the self-test has been completed successfully, and the 1440-TPS02-01RB module is valid and operational. A solid red light, on the other hand, indicates a hardware failure, an unrecoverable fault, or a boot loader program corruption. The 1440-TPS02-01RB module comes with an external rest switch at the top. This switch is used to rest all the latched relays, and this includes the relays in the Relay Expansion module when it has been connected to the 1440-TPS02-01RB module.
