The 1715-TASIF16 is a redundant I/O termination assembly module. The module fits into a small installation area. The device has an open enclosure with the IP20 rating. The IP20 rating indicates that the device is not water-resistant. The device should be kept inside a shielded bag when it is not in use. The power dissipation in this type of I/O termination assembly is 4 Watts and the field loop dissipation is a maximum of 0.075 Watts per field loop. The 1715-IF16 module is also supported by this module. This 16-channel module has basic insulation from I/O ports to the backplane but no insulation is present in between the individual I/O ports.
