The 1715-TASOF8 is an 8-channel redundant I/O module termination assembly manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is rated at 0 to 24 milliamperes per channel, 18 to 32 Volts DC, and 3.6 Watts maximum power dissipation. This termination assembly is built to meet the demands of standard and hazardous industrial locations that require the use of the Allen-Bradley 1715 Redundant I/O systems. The 1715-TASOF8 supports DIN rail and panel mounting, and it uses a 5 Amps fuse, and it has a good immunity for radiated RF, surge transients, conducted RF, and electrostatic discharge. It can be installed with shielded copper wires that are 22 to 16 AWG rated 185 degrees Fahrenheit or more.

The 1715-TASOF8 redundant I/O termination assembly has an open style enclosure but its conformal coating provides protection against environmental elements including moisture and dust. Its specified operating temperature is -13 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit and its tolerance for vibration is 2 grams at 10 to 500 Hertz, thereby making it suitable for use even on the same industrial floors with moving machinery. The recommended screwdriver dimensions for coupling the 1715-TASOF8 termination assembly are 0.4 x 2.0 flathead dimensions. Using screwdrivers that are larger than this may shear the screw heads, and exceeding the specified 0.5 N-m torque can shear the screw threads at the terminals and this may impede performance in a number of ways. The 1715-TASOF8 terminal assembly can be used in both grounded and ungrounded systems. It weighs 260 grams and it can withstand a relative humidity of 10% to 95%, non-condensing.
