sThe 1760-L18BWB-EXND is a Pico controller from Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley in the 1760 family of pico controllers. The controller has 12 digital inputs and 6 relay outputs. To power the 1760-L18BWB-EXND, a 24 Volts DC power supply is needed. The signal range for the Pico controller is rated at between 0 and 10 Volts DC with its analog resolution calibrated at 0.1 Volts. The 1760-L18BWB-EXND has an input impedance of 11.2 kiloohms. Additionally, the controller has an accuracy of +/-2 % of the actual value plus an input current less than 1.0 mA.
The 1760-L18BWB-EXND Pico controller has an analog-to-digital conversion time of 20 milliseconds (debounce on) while the debounce off for the analog to digital conversion time occurs for every cycle. The 1760-L18BWB-EXND supports the 1760-IB12X0W6I expansion module. With the 1760-L18BWB-EXND, an external display must be provided since it does not have a native display screen. The Pico controller also has a real-time clock. When interfacing the 1760-L18BWB-EXND with an expansion module, electrical isolation is provided between the controller and the expansion module at 400 Volts AC which provides a lower protection level while an advanced protection against electric shock is rated at 240 Volts AC. When wiring the 1760-L18BWB-EXND, a cable not exceeding 328 feet (unshielded) should be used, while a shielded cable should run to a maximum of 98 feet. When high-speed counters are used with the 1760-L18BWB-EXND, the shielded cable cannot exceed 20 meters. The 1760-L18BWB-EXND does not allow outputs to be connected in parallel. The 1760-L18BWB-EXND uses a circuit breaker (miniature B16) or an 8 Amps slow-blow switch for output relay protection.
