The 1760-MM1 memory module is part of the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1760 Pico Controllers series and it can be used with Series A and Series B 1760 Pico controllers. Note that this memory module functions as a read-only module with the Series B controllers. The 1760-MM1 memory module is always a non-volatile memory module because it does not lose its data when it is powered down. It can store backup copies of controller programs and it can be used to transfer them to certain compatible controllers. The 1760-MM1 memory module can also be used to store the parameter settings of controller programs, the controller system settings, and the controller text displays.

* The Allen Bradley 1760-MM1 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1760-MM1 units instead of migration.
The Allen-Bradley 1760-MM1 is a Pico expansion I/O memory module compatible with the 1760 series of controllers. It has an 8 KB capacity that can be used for 12-point Pico controllers. Data stored on this memory module becomes non-volatile, which means that information is still saved on the memory module even with the power to the controller turned off. Installing this memory module to a Pico controller that does not come with a display lets users automatically load a program to their controllers every time it is powered up. If using the 1760-MM1 memory module with a Series B Pico controller, it will be a read-only memory module, as it only has reading and writing capabilities when used with Series A Pico controllers.
Pico controllers are used for a wide variety of functions, including switching, HMI, and closed-loop and open-loop. They are also used for the replacement of relay and contactor controls, which makes these processors a multiple-use processor which combines the features of input devices, controllers, HMIs, and display modules. These processors have 2 AC or DC inputs as well as 6 or 8 relay or transistor outputs for the expansion I/O modules (except for the Allen-Bradley 1760-OW2 module), and they have 12 AC or DC power inputs and 4 relay or transistor outputs for the GFX I/O modules. Each Pico controller has a socket dedicated to a memory module if users wish to a module add to it, such as the 1760-MM1 memory module.
