About 1760-RPLCONN

The Allen-Bradley 1760-RPLCONN is a Pico controller which has 18 I/O signals and it is effective for use in expansion modules. Further, the 1760-RPLCONN is equipped with 6 relay outputs and 12 digital inputs. Some of its additional features include a display with a keypad, a real-time clock, 4 high-speed counters, and 4 analog inputs. The 1760-RPLCONN is modified to perform simple timing real-time clock operations, simple logic, and counting function. In old applications, it is used to replace relays. The 1760-RPLCONN controller permits additional output and input modules to be connected to acquire an increase in the I/O capacity. The interface of the controller has several buttons (Alt, Esc, Del, cursor, and OK) and an LCD which is used for a PC interface or for a memory module. Also, the 1760-RPLCONN has "stop" and "run" operating modes. In the run mode, the stored program is processed continuously, and then “stop” is selected and the power disconnected. If there is a power failure, the settings, parameters, and the diagrams are retained. The module’s circuit diagram is only available when the device is in the stop mode. There is a password protection function which consists of values between 0001 and 9999. In the conventional wiring process, users should use relays and contacts in the Pico circuit diagram. All the users are required to do is to connect any sensors, lamps, contactors, and switches. In the Pico circuit diagram, the 1760-RPLCONN’s cursor buttons perform three major functions which are connected, enter, and move. The "move" mode allows one to use the arrow keys to move the cursor around the circuit diagram to contact, relay coil, and branch applications. The “OK” button is pressed to enter the mode so that one can change or enter values. Pressing “Alt” helps users to connect modes for relays and wiring contacts. Contacts in the 1760-RPLCONN are used to modify the flow of current in a circuit diagram.
