About 1760-SIM

The 1760-SIM is an Allen Bradley product, manufactured by Rockwell Automation. The Allen-Bradley 1760-SIM Pico controller is used to carry out simple logic, counting, timing, and real-time clock operations. The 1760-SIM controller is flexible and can be used with a panel mounting or a DIN-rail, depending on the needs of an application. The 1760-SIM Pico comes in a 120 to 240 Volt AC and 24 Volt DC power input versions, although both versions of the module feature a large 8 Amp relay output used to drive a variety of electrical components. The DC-powered Pico controllers are equipped with inputs that can be used either as a DC digital inputs or as 0 to 10 Volts for an analog input. This unit provides the versatility you need to work with many input signals.

The Allen Bradley 1760-SIM Pico Controller can be used to split the difference between a timing relay and a low-end PLC. This Pico controller is perfect for relay replacement applications, applications in which cost is a primary design issue, and simple control applications, such as building and parking lot lighting. It is small in size, smaller than most relays, and so saves panel space and additional system costs. The 1760-SIM Pico Controller is unique for its simplicity which enables it to carry out essential PLC functions, likes logic, timers and counters. It features a real-time Clock, analog inputs for the DC controllers, and High Current Relay Outputs that eliminate the interposing relays, thus reducing panel space and system cost.
