The 1774-SR module is a remote I/O half scanner module that is designed and developed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This industrial component is part of the SLC 500 controller system and it is available through Series B/Bulletin 1774. The SLC 500 systems support module hardware components, including modular processors, chassis, and power supplies. These components carry a CE mark and they are produced in accordance with EMC directive. The SLC 500 components are designed and tested to meet standards like the EN 50081-2 and 50082-2 standards along with low voltage directives like the EN 61131-2 standard. The SLC 500 modular processors support a memory size from 1K words to 64K words and up to 3940 I/O points. Besides that, the SLC 500 modular processors are compatible with various I/O modules, including digital, analog, and intelligent I/O.

The 1774-SR remote I/O scanner module has a maximum current rating of 0.9 Amps at 5 Volts DC and it supports a block transfer up to 64K words of data. The 1774-SR scanner module also supports maximum of 4 full logical racks of data. Full logical racks of data support up to 512 input and output points. The maximum wattage of the module is 4.5 Watts, which is also the total wattage of the unit. The 1774-SR remote scanner module enables communication between a processor and I/O chassis that is located in a remote location. The module can also be used for the processor’s communication with other compatible devices such as operator interfaces and control-related components. The scanner module is intended for any slot of the local SLC chassis, with the exception of Slot 0.
