The Allen-Bradley 803-A24 rotating cam limit switch has 2 circuits available for different applications. It is typically used with machines that have operating cycles that are repetitive and when its shaft rotation is correlated to the motion, this switch is suitable for heavy-duty use and it has a long manufacturing life expectancy. The 803-A24 can also be mounted on any plane and it is capable of rotating in clockwise and counterclockwise. Its enclosure ratings are Type 4 and 13 and it has typical shaft torques of 0.5 pound-inches with the cam roller in the valley, of 7 pound-inches when the cam roller rides up the cam ramp, and of 3 pound-inches when the cam roller rides on the lobe. The 803-A24 switch has an operating temperature range of -22 to 151 degrees Fahrenheit and a storage temperature range of -22 to 199 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 803-A24 switch has the same features as those of other Style A switches, including a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly that is mounted on the contact base, a standard left shaft extension, internal dwell and timing adjustments, 25 Amp. N. C. (normally-closed) double break contacts, a cam duration of a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 346 degrees, and a maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM. When adjusting the internal dwell time and timing of the 803-A24 switch, not that it is only possible to do so when the device is not powered on and in motion.
