The 803-A34 Rotating Cam Limit Switch is a heavy-duty-rated control circuit switch that fits in a NEMA 4 or 13 Enclosure and that has a left-hand shaft extension. It is used with machines with repetitive cycles of operation. It is built with a long lifespan for heavy-duty operation, and it is good for applications like Steel Forming, Punch Presses, and Injection Molding operations. The 803-A34 comes with 25A-rated N.C. double-break contact, with a 1800VA MAKE/BREAK power rating and 30/3A, and 3 independently-operated cams. It also has a rotating shaft with a 150 rpm base shaft speed, a spring-loaded cam roller, and 3 control circuits with cam-opened contact assemblies. The 803-A34 has 3 cam assemblies with adjustable higher (lobe) and lower (valley) segments, and with a keyway slot on the rotating shaft for connecting the shaft to machines.

The 803-A34’s circuit is activated when the lobe (higher segment) brushes against the cam roller, and it is de-activated when the valley (lower segment) passes through the cam roller. It has a timing measured in degree angles, which are determined by the position of the cam on the shaft and which are determined from the TDC, and the total activation period (dwell time) is also determined by the size of the lobe and the position of the cam segment. The 803-A34 has a minimum cam duration of 14 and a maximum duration of 346, and like every Style A Switch, it has an adjustable internal dwell time and adjustable timing settings. It has an operating temperature range of -22-150 degrees Fahrenheit with a storage range of -22-200 degrees Fahrenheit.
