The Allen-Bradley 803-A44RA is a Rotating Cam Limit Switch from the 803 series. This device is often used for mechanisms made for heavy-duty handlings, such as heavy metals steel forming, mechanical presses, assembly machines, rotating tables, and other applications in which repeating control signals are present at strictly defined mechanical positions. When movement is expressed through its shaft rotation, the 803-A44RA rotating cam limit switch actuates its contacts (normally open or normally closed). This switch can rotate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions and is suitable to be positioned in any plane. The 803-A44RA has “style A” designed housing. Its number of separate control circuits with cam operators is four. These are 25A double break contacts, normally closed. Its type of enclosure is a 4 & 13 industrial enclosure designated as watertight, dust-tight, and oil-tight. The 803-A44RA rotating cam limit switch is composed of a heavy duty steel base, iron side plates, a shaft of 0.75 inches in diameter with oversized ball bearings, rotating cam segments with locking nuts (that are also resistant to vibration), cam opened contacts (25A rated, normally closed), and one opening for a cable on each side.
