803-A6RHRA

The 803-A6RHRA was first manufactured in 1980 by the Allen Bradley brand. This module is a rotating cam limit switch, which belongs to the Bulletin 803 series. It has slight modifications that make it different from other Style “A” limit switches; although it is dissimilar to some extent, it still has the same basic structure, which consists of a spring-loaded cam roller assembly and circuits with a snap action assembly. The spring-loaded cam roller assembly is normally mounted on the contact base. On the cam assemblies are two alterable cam segments per cam rotating shaft. The 803-A6RHRA has been manufactured with six circuits. This switch has an exact weight of 29 pounds, which is approximately 13.2 kilograms. One of its modifications is its ability to make use of a speed reducer with a gear ratio of 40:1. This means that the reducer ensures a limited output speed by decreasing the input speeds in the ratio 40:1. While other Style “A” limit switches have a left-hand extension standard, the 803-A6RHRA has a non-standard shaft extension. Therefore, it has been adjusted to have a right-hand extension. This rotating cam limit switch has a NEMA Type 4 & 13 enclosure, which protects the switch from any falling dirt or splashing water. This NEMA industrial enclosure is also oil tight.

The 803-A6RHRA uses 25 A.N.C double-break contacts. The normally closed cam-opened double break contacts are rated at 25 A constant current. When the normally closed contacts are used, the cam lobe engages the cam-roller to open the normally closed contact. The 803-A6RHRA can also accommodate between 2 to 12 independent cam operators. The rotating cam limit switch is used in a variety of appliances such as punch presses, injection molding machines and packing and assembly devices. In addition, it is also used in the steel-forming industry.
