The Allen-Bradley 803-A94X is a Style A rotating cam limit switch with a Type 4 or 13 Enclosure, a double shaft extension, and 9 available circuits. Mountable on any plane, this switch is capable of rotating well in either a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction and it has a long operating life expectancy. Manufacturers can use this rotating cam limit switch for heavy-duty operations, including with machines that have repetitive operating cycles with correlated machine motion and cam limit switch shaft rotation. The 803-A94X rotating cam limit switch is a Style A switch that comes with a 150 RPM maximum shaft speed, 25 Amp. N. C., or normally closed double break contacts, and 14 degrees minimum to 346 degrees maximum cam duration. Present on this switch is internal dwell and timing settings that the user can adjust, but these settings can only be adjusted when the cam switch is stopped. The 803-A94X also has a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly that is mounted to the cam switch’s contact base.

The 803-A94X Style A rotating cam limit switch comes with typical shaft torques of 7 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides up the cam ramp, of 0.5 pounds on an inch with the cam roller in the lowest position or “valley”, and of 3 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides on the lightest position or the “lobe.” The 803-A94X also has a non-operating temperature of -22 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as an operating temperature of -22 to 151 degrees Fahrenheit.
