The 803-A9RH Rotating Cam Limit Switch by Allen-Bradley is a control circuit device used with heavy-duty machinery with a dedicated cycle process in applications where the machine’s motion correlates with the shaft motion. The device is built for long-life and heavy-duty industrial processes like packaging and assembly, injection molding, and punch pressing, and like every member in the Allen-Bradley 803 series, it makes use of cams mounted on a shaft. It is a Style A device with 9 cam-opened circuits, and 9 cam assemblies with user-adjustable segments. It also comes with a rotating shaft with a 150 RPM base shaft speed, a spring-loaded cam-roller, and a right-hand customized shaft extension. The device is activated when the lobe brushes against the cam-roller, and it is de-activated as the valley passes through the cam-roller, and the entire activation period or dwell time is determined by the length of the lobe and the position of the cam.
