Implementing a series of heavy-duty applications, the Bulletin 803-B124 rotating cam switch devices have the Style “B” modification of the standard 803 rotating cam limit switch series. These devices are used to support the operations of industrial machinery and equipment involving the use of cyclic, repetitive operations in a particular sequence. The 803-B124 devices are activated with the help of the rotational movements. The 803-B124 devices can also be used as control units for any normal machine operation or even as emergency switches. Owing to its specific structure, the 803-B124 Style B limit switches are used for carrying out a multitude of problem-specific industrial operations, including packaging, consumer applications, manufacturing, motor control, and others.

The Style “B” 803-B124 device has 2 to 12 independent cam operators that feature the 10 A snap action 1 N.O -1 N.C. configuration. These devices are used to bring about the maximum shaft rotation speed of around 150 rpm along with the minimum cam duration of 14-degrees and the maximum cam duration of 346-degrees. The 803-B124 devices fall into the category of Type 1 & 13 enclosures and represent left shaft extension as standard. It is to be noted that the 803-B124 Style B rotating cam switch devices come with internal timing & dwell adjustments. Both dwell & timing adjustments can be made when the particular device is not moving. To set the desired timing & dwell adjustments, first remove the device cover and loosen the cam bolts; next, rotate the cams of the device to the required position of operation. Bulletin 803-B124 Style B devices by Allen Bradley come with angular degree scales either on the shaft or on the cam mounting plate, to ensure the ease of setting & installation. When the cams have been set in the correct position, the cam bolts should be re-tightened and the device cover should be reinstalled.
