The Bulletin 803-B12X device by Allen Bradley is a Style “B” device of the standard 803 series of the rotating cam limit switches. Belonging to Type 1, 4 & 13 enclosures, the 803-B12X serves the purpose of 2 to 12 independent cam operators. These belong to the category of 10 Ampere snap action 1 N.O -1 N.C setup. The double throw, single-pole snap action contact has been rated for a 10 Amperes continuous current, ensuring a NEMA rating designation of A600. The 803-B12X offers around 150 RPM of maximum shaft speed with a cam duration of minimum 14 degrees and maximum 346 degrees. In a typical 803-B12X device, the device’s shaft extension will be on the left-hand side when viewed from the front. In addition, the installation process of the 803-B12X is relatively simple. This device comes with internal timing & dwell adjustments; to make the desired adjustment, first remove the cover, slacken the bolt, and then rotate the device’s cams until they are in the required rotating position. When the required adjustments have been made, the bolts can be tightened and the cover replaced. The internal dwell & timing adjustments must be made when the device is not in motion.
