The Allen-Bradley 803-B24X is a rotating cam limit switch from the Bulletin 803 product range. Rotating cam limit switches can sense the rotation of shafts and they can start functions at various points of the machine’s repetitive rotation sequence. These industrial switches open and close cam-actuated contacts at various angles of the machine shaft rotation. The 803-B24X is well-suited to various applications including punch presses, assembly machines, injection molding machines, waterway gate/lock operations, and steel forming. These heavy-duty switches are designed for industrial applications and they require very little maintenance when properly installed. The shaft assemblies in each switch rotate smoothly on precision-engineered long-lasting bearings. These switches operate equally well when rotating in either direction and they can be mounted in any plane or at any angle. Each cam can be set independently without affecting the other circuits.

The 803-B24X is a Style B cam limit switch with 2 circuits and 10 A snap action contacts: 1 normally open (N.O.) and 1 normally closed (N.C). The maximum shaft speed supported by the 803-B24X is 150 RPM. The cam dwell duration can be varied from a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 346 degrees. The 803-B24X switch supports internal dwell and timing adjustments which can be changed when the device is not moving. A double shaft extension is available as the standard extension (which is denoted by the “X” suffix). The 803-B24X is available in Type 4 & 13 (watertight, dust-tight, oil-tight industrial) enclosures. The switch’s operating temperature range is -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius) and its dimensions are 268.3 x 241.3 millimeters and it weighs approximately 16.3 kilograms.
