The Allen-Bradley 803-B2X is a Rotating Cam Limit Switch from condition sensing series 803. This device delivers timing and dwell parameter settings for machinery with repetitive cycles of operation. It is ideal for rugged machines with slower working speeds, mainly construction and engineering equipment, packing machines, or heavy hydraulics. The 803-B2X makes a correlation of its shaft movement to the target machine movement. Cam operators are attached to the shaft and they snap control contacts on user-defined angular positions. The cam assembly can operate equally when rotating in CW or in CCW direction and can be mounted at any angle. The 803-B2X limit switch is manufactured as a “Style B” condition sensing device. There are two cam-roller mechanisms installed on the shaft which actuate two 10 Ampere snap-action switches, which reduce the vibration effects. The 803-B2X is Type 1 rated industrial enclosure It is specially designed with double shaft extension feature. The 803-B2X is made of high-quality materials and is composed of the following components: a firm steel base, reinforced with rugged cast iron side plates, cam rotating assemblies, cam contacts (single pole double throw, 10A), a 0.75 inch shaft, and cable glands. This bulletin 803 device has dimensions of 5.69 x 7.88 x 6.64 inches (144.5 x 200.1 x 168.7 millimeters). Its weight is approximately 22 pounds (10.0 kilograms) and its acceptable temperature range is -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius). In 2007, Allen-Bradley announced the 803-B2X product as discontinued.
