The 803-B44R is a Style B rotating cam switch by Allen-Bradley. The B suffix denotes its style, while the both its tech and its physical specs suit a number of environments. The 803-B44R cam has 4 circuits for controlling its power circulation and its Style B Snap Action Contacts, 1 N.O. (Normally Open) and 1 N.C. (Normally Closed). These Snap Action Contacts are available but may pass as an optional feature and whether they do or not will all depend on the user’s preferences and needs.  Being a NEMA Type 1 rotating cam, its enclosures are both Type 4 and Type 13 and it can be mounted with the right extension. The 803-B44R’s dimensions are 4.375 inches with 1.25-inch pipe taps on both of its ends and optional external adjustment settings.

Available on the 803-B44R rotating cam switch groove is a TruArc retaining ring which also has a Dia shaft extension along its doorway plus a number of Dia mitigating holes located at the cam’s back. A woodruff keyway is available plus an extra 0.09375 inch deep by 0.1875-inch wide keyway. The left-hand extension on this 803-B44R rotating cam is standard, but then there is no internal adjustable feature available. Its adjustable degrees of dwell is 45 to 66 degrees when the N.C. Contact opens and the N.O. Contact closes, and they are 294 to 315 degrees when its N.O. Contact Closes N.C. Contact opens.  Its speed reducer gear ratio is 20:1.
