The 803-B44RA is a Bulletin 803 Rotating Cam Limit Switch. This switch is produced and manufactured by the Allen Bradley brand. The 803-B44RA makes use of a cam, circuits, and a rotating shaft. The switch is designed so that the cam itself is mounted on the rotating shaft. The main purpose of the cam is to set the contacts in motion, immediately after the shaft starts rotating. The 803-B44RA relies on four circuits to be operative and has a gross weight of 17.7 kilograms (39 pounds). The dimensions of the 803-B44RA are close to 10.81 x 11.88 inches. The 804-B44RA, just like other Style “B” switches, makes use of a NEMA Type 4 & 13 enclosure. This NEMA electrical enclosure protects the switch from falling dirt and splashing water. Accelerated motion of contacts when changing between open and closed states causes snap action. Only a limited amount of force is required from the actuator to bring about snap action. Since it’s also a Single Pole Double Throw switch, it lacks sets of contacts that are isolated. The switch can be utilized in devices such as roller chains, punch presses and packing and assembly machines.
