The Allen-Bradley 803-B6 rotating cam limit switch is from the Bulletin 803 product range. These switches have the capability of sensing the movement of rotating shafts and commencing various functions at various points on the shafts’ rotation. These switches are designed to open and close their contacts at various angles of the machine shaft rotation. Applications suitable for these switches include punch presses, packing machines, and waterway gate/lock operations. The Bulletin 803 series of switches are manufactured for the most rugged industrial applications and they require almost no maintenance. The switch shaft assemblies rotate smoothly on precision engineered bearings. Each of the 803-B6’s cams can be independently adjusted without affecting the other circuits. The switch operates equally well while rotating in either direction and it can be mounted in any orientation.

The 803-B6 is a Style B cam limit switch with 6 circuits and 10 A snap action contacts: 1 normally open (N.O.) and 1 normally closed (N.C). The maximum shaft speed supported by the 803-B6 is 150 RPM. The cam dwell duration can vary from a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 346 degrees. The 803-B6 supports internal dwell and timing adjustments which can be set or reset when the device is not moving. A left shaft extension is available as the standard setup. The 803-B6 is available only in Type 1 (general purpose) enclosure. The 803-B6’s operating temperature range is from -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius) and the switch weighs approximately 14.1 kilograms.
