The 803-B6RHW rotating cam limit switch is a 6-cam switch that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley in the Bulletin 803 switch series. All 6 of its cams can operate independently and its rotating shaft can rotate in either direction. The 803-B6RHW rotating cam limit switch itself can be mounted at any angle. Its minimum cam duration rating is 14 degrees and its maximum cam duration rating is 346 degrees. The 803-B6RHW rotating cam limit switch also comes with an external adjustment sprocket that can make adjustments to the relative position between its shaft and driving mechanism.

The 803-B6RHW is a rotating cam limit switch, manufactured by Allen Bradley. The 803-B6RHW module is part of the Bulletin 803 series. The switch is also a NEMA type 1 general purpose enclosure. This limit switch comes with a shipping weight of 31 pounds (14.1 kilograms). This rotating cam limit switch, manufactured in 1980, makes use of contacts, six completely operative circuits, a functional cam, and a rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is where the cams are usually mounted. The 803-B6RHW uses the cam to actuate the contacts. The 803-B6RHW is a modified version of the Bulletin 803 Style “B” switches. The rotating cam limit switch has an external adjustment sprocket, unlike other switches. The sprocket makes the changing of the corresponding position between the shaft and the driving mechanism much easier. The sprocket can only be adjusted to the devices that have chain drive sprockets. The external adjustment sprocket has 48 teeth and a pitch diameter of 145.64 millimeters. The 803-B6RHW has many diverse applications. The limit switch is instrumental in the formation of steel and various heavy metals. It is also used in devices such as punch presses, assembly and packing machines, and injection molding machines. The limit switch closes and opens contacts at various angles of device shaft rotation. The 803-B6RHW initiates functions at varying points of the machine’s recurrent cycle immediately it senses the motion of the rotating appliances.
The 803-B5RHW has a non-standard shaft extension. Therefore, the limit switch has been adjusted to have the right-hand shaft extension. The maximum rate of motion for the rotating shaft is 150 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM). The 803-B6RHW makes use of snap action contacts that have a rating of 10A constant current. The contacts are labeled 1, 2, 3 & 4. When the cam roller rides onto the lobe, two of those contacts (1 & 2) close and the remaining two, (3 and 4) open. The switch features 2 to 12 independent cam operators.
