The Allen Bradley 803-B7 cam limit switch is a special device used to control the rotating machines in a number of different industries. The 803-B7 is a heavy-duty control circuit device especially used to control machines that undergo repetitive cycles of operation. The basic function of this switch is to open and close contacts at various angles of rotation on the machine shaft.  This device is specially designed to perform heavy-duty operations and to last for a longer life; this same design allows the switch to stay operational with very little maintenance. The 803-B7 switch is an efficient device with low maintenance costs.

The 803-B7 can limit switch is easy to use with any rotating machine and can be mounted at any angle or plane. The switch comes in Type 1 and 4/13 enclosures with 2 to 12 independent cam operators. It has a minimum cam duration of 14 degrees and maximum of 346 degrees. Users can easily adjust the cam duration as well as internal and external timings. A maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM can be obtained from the switch in either direction. The cam limit switch has a spring-loaded cam roller that is assembly mounted on the contact base. Moreover, it is featured with 2 to 12 cam assemblies and two adjustable cam segments for each cam. The internal dwell and timing adjustments can be easily changed, but only when the device is in an “off” state. The 803-B7 switches are used to control various machines, such as industrial packing machines, injection molding machines, punch press machines, and waterway gate lock operations.
