803-B94X

The 803-B94X is part of Allen Bradley’s Rotating Cam Limit Switch series, which are designed for heavy and rugged applications.  The 803-B94X is from the Style “B” product line, and as such has internal timing and dwell adjustments which can only be carried out while the equipment is stationary.  It has a Type 4 & 13 enclosure, 1 N.O. – 1 N.C. snap contacts, and has 9 circuits. Its snap action contacts are single pole double throw and have a continuous current rating of 10 Amps.  With 2 to 12 autonomous cam operators and a standard left shaft extension, the 803-B94X has a shaft speed of 150 Revolutions Per Minutes (RPM) at its peak.  The cam duration ranges from a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 346 degrees. However, the 803-B94X is modified to have a double shaft extension. The cam mounting plate has angular degree scales on the shaft that facilitates easy setting.

By starting functions at designated points in a machine’s operation cycle, this Condition Sensing device is able to detect a rotating machine’s movements.
