The Allen-Bradley 803-F1212XT is a Style “F” rotating cam limit switch that has 12 circuits present, as well as a double shaft extension. All the cams present on this switch are substituted for internally adjustable cams and it is ideal for use with for machines that have repetitive operation cycles with the mechanical motion and the shaft rotation correlated. The 803-F1212XT switch, like all other Style “F” switches, features a 10 Amp. snap action 1 N. O. (normally open) contact and a 10 Amp. Snap action 1 N. C. (normally closed) contact, a maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM, and a cam duration that ranges from a minimum of 12 degrees to a maximum of 348 degrees. These Style “F” switches are also equipped with a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly which is mounted onto the contact base, and with external dwell and timing settings that are adjustable with a screwdriver even when the device is moving.

The operating temperature of the 803-F1212XT switch ranges from -30 to 66 degrees Celsius and the switch’s storage temperature ranges from -30 to 93 degrees Celsius. It also has typical shaft torques of 7 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides up the cam ramp, of 3 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides on the lobe, and 0.5 pounds on an inch with the cam roller rides in the valley. The enclosure ratings of this switch are Type 1 and 13, and it can handle heavy-duty operations without sacrificing its long lifespan. If used properly, the switch will need minimal maintenance. When mounted on any plane, the 803-F1212XT switch rotates well in either direction. It weighs approximately 20 pounds and measures 17.56 x 15.31 x 7.66 inches.
