The 803-F612 cam switch is a 6-circuit cam switch that has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley within the Bulletin 803 and Style F switch series. Its 6 circuits are independent cam operators that can be used to open and close the switch’s 2 snap action contacts. The 803-F612 cam switch has a shaft that can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, that supports a rotation speed of up to 150 RPM, and that has a standard left hand extension. This switch is well-suited to applications in heavy-duty systems that involve repetitive operating cycles. The 803-F612 cam switch can be utilized in a variety of material forming, assembly, and packaging applications.

The 803-F612 is a rotating cam limit switch by Allen-Bradley. Belonging to the Bulletin 803 Rotating Cam Limit switch series, the 803-F612 has 6 circuits, 10 Amps, and a maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM (Revolutions Per Minute). The 803-F612 also has a snap action 1 NO/1NC contact. This module works with a Type 1 and a Type 13 enclosure and has a standard left shaft extension. The 803-F612 has an option for external screwdriver adjustments of the timing and dwell, even while the machine is still in motion. The 803-F612 has between 2 and 12 Independent Cam Operators; in machines where motion is linked to shaft motion, the 803-F612, like others within its series, is used as a heavy duty control circuit device. Unlike some others in its category, the 803-F612 has the advantage of being bidirectional. Regardless of the direction in which the switch rotates, this module will still operate equally well.

The 803-F612 is designed for lasting and heavy-duty work; rugged cast iron side plates and a heavy-duty steel base make it a durable module and have proven that this module can consistently yield quality results. The 803-F612, like others in the series, requires a complete catalog number and a separate cam code. This cam code is used to identify style, shaft extensions, and cam code designators. The 803-F612 can have specified degrees of rotation, which determine how long the circuit would be activated during the 360-degree cycle. The 803-F612 also requires cam code designators that must be sequentially entered into the cam code, beginning from the standard driven shaft extension, whether on the left or on the right. One of the distinguishing features of the “F” series, to which the 803-F612 belongs, is its provision for ordering modifications for internally Adjustable Cams
