The Allen-Bradley 803-F812T is a rotating cam limit switch in the Bulletin 803 Series of cam limit switches. Rotating cam limit switches sense the movement of rotating machinery by initiating functions at various points of a machine’s repetitive cycle. These industrial control circuit devices open and close the switch’s contacts at various angles of the machine shaft rotation. Typical applications for the 803-F812T include punch presses, assembly and packing machines, and injection molding machines. These switches are manufactured for rugged applications and they require very little maintenance when they are properly installed. The shaft assemblies rotate smoothly on long-life, precision bearings. The 803-F812T can operate equally well when rotating in either direction and it can be mounted in any plane or angle. The 803-F812T is designed for a maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM. Its cams are included and its dwell duration can be varied from a minimum of 12 degrees to a maximum of 348 degrees. A left shaft extension is available as the standard option. The 803-F812T supports internally adjustable cams. The internally adjustable cams can be adjusted only when the shaft on the limit switch is stopped. The 803-F812T is available in Type 1 (general purpose) and Type 13 (dust-tight industrial) enclosures. Its operating temperature range is -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius).
