The Allen-Bradley 803-P10LH is a Style “P” rotating cam limit switch from the Bulletin 803 series of limit switches. It senses the movement of rotating machinery and it uses this information to initiate functions at various points of the machine’s repetitive cycle. These industrial control circuit devices open and close the contacts at various angles of machine shaft rotation. The applications for which the 803-P10LH rotating cam limit switch are suited to include punch presses, assembly lines, injection molding machines, and waterway gate operations. The 803-P10LH and other Bulletin 803 switches are manufactured for heavy-duty applications and they require little maintenance when properly installed and operated. Switch shaft assemblies rotate smoothly on long-life, precision bearings. The 803-P10LH is a Style "P" cam limit switch that has 10 circuits and 25 A double break normally closed (N.C) cam opened contacts. The 803-P10LH is designed for a maximum shaft speed of 400 RPM. The cams are included with the switch, and the dwell duration can vary from a minimum of 11 degrees to a maximum of 349 degrees. Style "P" switches support internal dwell time and timing adjustments which can be only be made when the device is not moving. For the Style "P" switches, the right-hand shaft extension is usually available as the standard model: however, on the 803-P10LH cam switch, it is the left shaft extension which is the standard model (as indicated by the “LH” in the part number). The 803-P10LH is available in a Type 1 enclosure. Its operating temperature range is from -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius) and it weighs 8.77 kilograms.
