The Allen-Bradley 803-P6W is a Style “P” rotating cam limit switch with 6 circuits, as well as an external adjustment sprocket that allows the user to change the relative position between the shaft and the driving mechanism. With a long product life expectancy, this switch can handle repetitive heavy-duty operations and it is suitable for machines with a cyclical operation where the rotating cam limit switch’s shaft rotation is correlated to the machine’s motion. With proper installation and use, the cam switch will need very little maintenance. The 803-P6W switch also has features that are standard to all Style P switches, like 25 Amp. N. C. or normally-closed double break contacts, a right-hand shaft extension, a maximum shaft speed of 400 RPM, and a cam duration of 11 degrees at the minimum and 349 degrees at maximum. The 803-P6W switch is also equipped with internal dwell time and timing settings that are adjustable, but only when the machine is not moving and when a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly mounted to the contact base.
