The Allen-Bradley 803-P6WX is a Style P rotating cam limit switch which is equipped with 6 circuits, with an external adjustment sprocket that allows the user to change the relative position between the shaft and the driving mechanism, and with a double shaft extension. Also, present on this switch is a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly which is mounted to the switch’s contact base and internal dwell time and timing settings that can be adjusted only when the device is not operating or moving. Being a heavy-duty switch, the 803-P6WX switch is suitable for use with heavy-duty machines that have operation cycles that are repetitive and that have the switch’s shaft rotation correlated to its motion. This switch comes with the standard features of a Style P switch, specifically a 400 RPM maximum shaft speed, an 11-degree minimum and a 349-degree maximum cam duration, and a 25 Amp. N. C. or normally closed double break contacts.

With a Type 1 enclosure, the 803-P6WX rotating cam limit switch is capable of being mounted on any plane, yet it can still rotate well in either direction no matter what kind of plane it is mounted on.  It has a storage temperature ranging from -30 to 93 degrees Celsius, as well as an operating temperature of -30 to 66 degrees Celsius. The typical shaft torques of the 803-P6WX switch are 7 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides up the cam ramp, 3 pounds on an inch when the cam roller rides on its highest position (the lobe), and 0.5 pounds on an inch with the cam roller in the lowest position (the valley).
