The 803-P7W is manufactured by Allen Bradley; it is a Rotating cam switch module from the 803 series of Limit Switches. The 803-P7W is a Style P design with NC cam opened contacts and a total of 7 internal switches. The Style P cam switch is a high speed and low-cost module with internal adjustments. The 803-P7W has a 25 Amp NC double break contact. The maximum shaft speed is 400 RPM, the module is enclosed in a Type 1 general purpose enclosure, and the operators have cams, although the cam codes need to be specified separately while ordering. The 803-P7W is to be operated in a temperature range of -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius). It is stored at an ambient temperature zone of -22 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 93 degrees Celsius). The size of the 803-P7W is around 7.13 x 2.44 x 5.63 inches and it has a shaft length of 1.5 inches.

The 803-P7W has its shaft extension on the left-hand side by default. It also has an external adjustment sprocket for a chain drive, in order to change the relative position between the shaft and the driving mechanism. The sprocket has 48 teeth and is compatible with a number 35 chain and the 803-P7W does not have speed reducers or internally adjustable cams. The 803-P7W operates on the rotation of the shaft. When the shaft rotates, the cams will activate the switches based on the alignment of the cams; this will, in turn, operate the machinery. The duration of activations is determined by the size of the lobe and the cam position, which also determines how long the switch will remain activated.
