The Allen-Bradley 803-PL10 rotating cam limit switch is part of the Bulletin 803 Series of cam limit switches. These switches can sense the movement of a machine’s rotating shafts and they can commence functions at different points in the shafts’ rotation. These switches are designed for opening and closing contacts at various angles of the machine’s shaft rotation. Modifications of the 803-PL10 switch are available for different applications. Industrial applications for these switches include punch presses, assembly lines, packing machines, injection molding machines, waterway gates, and steel forming. The Bulletin 803 Series of rotating cam limit switches is made for industrial applications and these switches require almost no maintenance if used properly. The 803-PL10 switch’s shaft assemblies rotate smoothly on precision engineered bearings. Each of its cams can be independently adjusted without affecting the other circuits. All of the switches operate equally well when rotating in either direction and it can be mounted in any orientation for maximum flexibility.

The 803-PL10 is a Style P cam limit switch with 10 circuits and 25 A double break normally closed (NC) cam opened contacts. The 803-PL10 is designed for a maximum shaft speed of 400 RPM. Note that the cams are not included and need to be ordered separately. The cam dwell time duration measured in degrees that can vary from a minimum of 11 degrees to a maximum of 349 degrees. Type P switches support internal dwell time and timing adjustments which can be customized, but only when the device is not in motion. On the 803-PL10 rotating cam limit switch, the right shaft extension is available as a standard feature. The 803-PL10 rotating cam limit switch is available in a Type 1 (general purpose) enclosure only. Its operating temperature range is from -22 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 66 degrees Celsius) and it weighs around 8.77 kilograms.
