The 803-PL6W Rotating Cam Limit Switch with less operator cam and an external adjustment sprocket option is a control circuit device by Allen-Bradley used with heavy-duty industrial machinery with repetitive operation cycles, in applications where machine motion correlates with shaft rotation. The device operates with a cam mounted on a rotating shaft, which actuates contacts as the shaft rotates, and it is suitable for heavy-duty and long-life industrial operations. The 803-PL6W has 6 control circuits with 25A normally-closed double block contacts and DC and AC contact ratings and it has a contact-based spring-loaded cam roller. Â It has a 400 RPM rotating shaft with a standard right-shaft extension, and with 6 independent cam assemblies with adjustable segments and less operator cam options. The 803-PL6W has a keyway slot which connects the shaft to machines, with its lower and higher cam segments, and when the shaft rotates, the cam lobes activate circuits as it glides through the cam roller, and when the cam valley passes by the cam roller, the circuit is deactivated.
