Present on this switch is a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly that is mounted to the switch’s contact base, and internal dwell time and timing settings that the user can adjust when the device is at a complete stop. Like other Style P switches, the 803-PL8 rotating cam limit switch also features a cam duration time measured in the degree that ranges from a minimum of 11 degrees and a maximum of 349 degrees, 25 Amp. N. C. or normally closed double break contacts, and a maximum shaft speed of 400 RPM.

The 803-PL8 also has a storage temperature range of -30 to 93 degrees Celsius and an operating temperature range of -30 to 66 degrees Celsius. Note that the 803-PL8 switch comes with a Type 1 enclosure rating and it weighs approximately 22 pounds or 10 kilograms.
