The Allen-Bradley 1769-L30 is a CompactLogix 5370 controller series that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This series of CompactLogix is categorized as Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and includes a variety of controllers such as 1769-L30ER, 1769-L30ER-NSE, 1769-L30ERM, and 1769-L30ERMK. Common technical specifications of this controller series include the capability to handle up to 32 Tasks with each task supporting up to 100 programs. The controller’s default memory is 1 MB for user memory and shipped with a 1GB non-volatile memory provided by the 1784-SD1 Secure Digital (SD) card. This controller series is provided with a dual ethernet communication interface that functions as an integrated switch and utilizes One (1) IP address only. These Ethernet ports support Linear and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. Up to 256 Ethernet I/P and 120 TCP I/P connections can be established and up to 16 Ethernet nodes are supported by the ethernet ports with a data transmission rate of 10/100 Mbps. The 1769-L30 CompactLogix PAC series includes standard configured controllers such a the 1769-L30ER; CompactLogix controller for mining application with catalog number 1769-L30ER-NSE; 1769-L30ERM which supports motion over Ethernet I/P wherein up to 4 motion axes is supported and 1769-L30ERMK which is a motion controller with conformally coated controller for use in a hazardous and corrosive environment. This controller series supports the installation of up to Eight (8) expansion modules using the 1769 Compact I/O hardware. Up to Three (3) I/O banks are permitted by the controller. Supported programming languages by the 1769-L30 series are Relay Ladder, Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD).

The Allen-Bradley 1769-L30 compact Logix processor module can support up to 16 I/O modules with 2 expansion cables on a maximum of 3 I/O banks. Each I/O bank requires its own power supply, and only one 1769-L30 processor module or any Logix controller module can be connected to a compactLogix system at a time. The 1769-L30 can be used anywhere in an industrial area. The 1769-L30 can communicate with any device through an RS-232 port with either a 1747-CP3 or a 1756-CP3 programming cable. The 1769-L30 has a current backplane of 800 mA at +5V DC and 0 mA at +24V DC. It has an operational temperature range between 0 deg to 60 deg. C (32 deg to 140deg F), at a 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 1769-L30 has a key switch on the front panel for controlling the operation mode. The 1769-L30 has the following key switch functions (RUN, PROG, REM) which can either be used to run the program, enable or disable outputs, or change between the remote program on the controller. The 1769-L30 can be mounted using either a panel mounting or a DIN rail. It has an operational vibration of 10G at 500HZ and a shock rating of 30G. The 1769-L30 has a weight of 360g (0.792 lbs), and a dimension of 118 mm (4.649 in.) by 50 mm (1.97 in.) by 87 mm (3.43 in.). It has a 1747-BA battery, a 1 kV galvanic gun surge immunity (IEC61000-4-5), and a 10V, 0.15 to 80 MHz IEC61000-4-6 certified conduction immunity.
