The MVI69-PDPMV1 master communication module with a CFG port from the DP-V1 series is designed by Prosoft Technology and its sub-brand is inRAx. The module uses a CFG port as its main interface and it has bright LED indicators for operational elements such as the status of the module, power status, application status, activity of the ports, and the error status. The connection cables used with this module are the RJ45 to DB-9 M and the 6-foot RS-232 cables. This module has a backplane current rating of 800 mA with maximum at 5 Volts DC. The power supply distance rating 2 and must be within 2 slots if used with the 1746-L43 and 1746-L45. The MVI69-PDPMV1 is compatible with single-slot 1769 backplane and it is recognized as an input/output module by the processor. The MVI69-PDPMV1 module can be utilized for accessing the processor’s memory to transfer the data between the processor and the module. The data transfer between these two components is performed with the use of Ladder Logic and the module comes with a sample ladder file that can be used. The MVI69-PDPMV1 module is compatible with all of the processors from the CompactLogix series including the L20/L23/L30/L31/L32/L35, L43, and L45. Also, the module supports most of the MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers. The module is standardized and approved by the Ex certificate (ATEX directive), CE, CB safety, Lloyd’s register, C/UL class 1, division 2, and others. The environmental conditions for the use of this module include a relative non-condensing humidity of 5 to 95%, an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and a storage temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).

The MVI69-PDPMV1 is a Prosoft Technology module that functions as Profibus Master network module. This module is specifically compatible for use with Profibus Decentralized Peripherie (DP) Version 1 industrial network. It is a single slot module that directly installs to the 1769 backplane for use by the 1769 CompactLogix controllers. Additionally, this module is also compatible with the MicroLogix 1500 LRP controller.

The MVI69-PDPMV1 supports communicating up to 125 slave devices, with or without ProfiBus repeater. It is capable of handling up to 1536 cyclic bytes input as well as 1536 bytes of output data. Additionally, this module supports being configured to provide extended diagnostic data.

The MVI69-PDPMV1 is provided with one (1) 9-pin Sub-D female connector with Ready, Run, Error, and Token LED indicators. This port supports standard Profibus transmission of up to 12 Mbps. Multiple Profibus Masters can be installed in a single slot; therefore, permitting the host controller to communicate to a variety of ProfiBus segments.

Additionally, accessory tools provided by the manufacturer can be used to help simplify the hardware configuration and define the data transfer of this module.

The MVI69-PDPMV1 has a backplane current consumption of 800 milliamperes @ 5 Volts DC with a power supply distance rating of 2. If used with the 1769-L43 and 1769-L45 it must be installed in the first two (2) slots of the module. It has an operating temperature of 32° F to 140° F (0° C to 60° C) and non-operating temperature of-40° F to 185° F (-40° C to 85° C).
